New Team Brawn's Button and Barrichello finish One, Two at Australian GP

Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello created history for new team Brawn GP when they won from the front row to finish 1st, 2nd respectively in the Formula1 season opening 2009 ING Australian Grand Prix on Sunday, 29th March, 2009 at Melbourne.

Toyota's Trulli over took McLaren's Lewis Hamilton in the last lap to finish 3rd and 4th respectively. Timo Glock in 2nd Toyota finished 5th ahead of Renault's Fernando Alonso who finished 6th.

Nico Rosberg in Williams finished 7th while Sabastien Buemi took final points of the race on his debut, followed by team mate Sebastien Bourdais at 9th place.

Force India F1 team shown some good result in new Mercedez engine as Adrian Sutil finished top 10 while Fisichella finished 12th. Both Ferrari's was not able to finish the race.

Jenson Button takes Pole Position at 2009 Australian GP, Barrichello 2nd

Jenson Button and team mate Rubens Barrichello clinched 1st and 2nd position of the newly formed Brawn GP team in the 2009 season opening Australian Grand Prix on Saturday, 28th March, 2009 at Melbourne’s Albert Park. Ross Brown bought the opted out Honda team 4 months ago and created history a new teams both drivers will start from the front row.

Button got the pole with his lap of 1m 26.202s beaten his Brazilian team mate timing of 1m 26.505s. Sebastian Vettel’s took 3rd position on his debut for Red Bull with a lap of 1m 26.830s.

BMW Saubers dricer Robert Kubica drived superbly for 4th place in 1m 26.914s and Williams Nico Rosberg finished 5th with 1m 26.973s followed by Tim Glock in his Toyota 1m 26.975s.

Ferrari's and last year runner up was 7th with 1m 27.033s, followed by Jarno Trulli in the second Toyota on 1m 27.127s. Kimi Raikkonen in other Farrari 1m 27.163s and Red Bull's Mark Webber on 1m 27.246s finished in top 10.

Renault's double world champion Fernando Alonso will start from 12th position ans defending champion McLaren's Lewis Hamilton will start at 14th place behind team mate Heikki Kovalainen.

Force India F1 drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil start 18th and 19th respectively, the same old story despite powered by a Mercedes engine
