2008 Hungarian Grand Prix is going to be held from Friday, 1st August, 2008 to Race Day on 3rd August, 2008, as the 2008 Formula 1 Championship is becoming more interesting due to close fight for the Driver's Championship.

Currently McLaren's Lewis Hamilton leading the championship with 48 points closely followed by two Ferrari Drivers Felippe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen with 54 and 51 points respectively. BMW's Robert Kubica is not far behind with 48 points.

In a flawless piece of driving McLaren's Lewis Hamilton won the 2008 German Grand Prix from the pole to take the lead in 2008 Driver's Championship on Race Day, Sunday, 20th July, 2008 at Hockenheim. Renault's Nelson Piquet Jr drive superbly to take 1st podium of his career and Ferrari's Felippa Massa finished 3rd.

The result means Hamilton now championship leader with back to back win by 4 points with 58 points followed by Massa second on 54 points and Raikkonen 3rd on 51 points.

Nick Heidfeld finished 4th in BMW followed by Heikki Kovalainen in 2nd McLaren on 5th place. World Champion Kimi Raikkonen finished 6th in 2nd Ferrari.

BMW's Robert Kubica finished 7th and Sebastian Vettel grabbed the final point in STR-Ferrari on 8th place.

Force India F1 drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil able to finish on 14th and 16th place respectively.

British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton grabbed 9th pole position in McLaren for Sunday,20th July Race in 2008 German Grand Prix at Hockenheim. Ferrari's Felippe Massa took 2nd position and McLaren's team mate Heikki Kovalainen finished 3rd fastest.

Toyota's Jarno Trulli will strat fron 4th followed by Renault's Fernando Alonso finished at 5th place and Kimi Raikkonen finished 6th in 2nd Ferrari.

Behind Raikkonen come BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica, with the Red Bull duo of Mark Webber and David Coulthard sandwiching the Toro Rosso of Sebastian Vettel in eighth and 10th.

No prizes for guessing the last two on the grid, with Adrian Sutil edging out his Force India team-mate Giancarlo Fisichella, leaving the veteran Italian at the rear.

2008 Driver's Championship is at interesting stage as there is 3-way tie at the top and hope for a thrilling race on Race Day on Sunday.

Lewis Hamilton won at home 2008 British Grand Prix in style on Sunday, 6th July 2008 at Silverstone in McLaren. Hamilton started the race from 4th position and won the race, Nick Hiedfeld finished 2nd in BMW, ahead of Honda's Ruben Barrichello.

Kimi Raikkonen in Ferrari finished 4th followed by Heikki Kovalainen in 2nd McLaren and Renault's Fernando Alonso finished 5th and 6th respectively. Jarno Trulli in Toyota finished 7th and Nakajima took the final point of the race.

2008 Formula 1 Driver's Championship is an interesting stage as their is a three-way tie, as Hamilton, Raikkonon and Mass all on 48 points, two clear of Kubica.

In the Constructor's Championship, Ferrari leading with 96 points from BMW on 82 points and McLaren 72 points.

McLaren's Heikki Kovalainen secured the first pole position of his F1 career at the 2008 British Grand Prix, for the Race Day on Sunday, 6th July, 2008, in the 2nd last race at the Silverstone circuit. Red Bull's Mark Webber join him in the front row.

Kimi Raikkonen will start third in his Ferrari, followed by Lewis Hamilton in 2nd McLaren. However, rain will play an important role in the outcome of the race.

Raikkonen stands a point away from becoming only the seventh driver in Formula 1 history to reach the 500-point mark. he Finn is also bidding to become the first Ferrari driver since Alberto Ascari in 1952 and 1953 to win back-to-back British Grand Prix.

Renault's Fernando Alonso and the BMW Sauber of Nick Heidfeld finshed 5th and 6th, followed by the Toro Rosso of Sebastien Vettel. Championship leader Felipe Massa is ninth in his Ferrari, with his closest challenger in BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica 10th.

David Coulthard, competing in his final British Grand Prix after confirming on Thursday he will retire at the end of the season, missed out on a place in the top 10 by 0.059secs in his Red Bull.

McLaren's Heikki Kovalainen was the fastest the way in the second official practice session ahead of the 2008 British Grand Prix, for the Race Day on Sunday, 6th July 2008. FIA has confirmed Silverstone would lose the staging rights to the British Grand Prix after next year's race, with Donington Park taking its place from 2010.

Kovalainen was the only driver to duck under the one minute 20 second barrier this afternoon with a lap of 1min 19.989secs, which was four tenths slower than the overall fastest time set by Ferrari's Felipe Massa this morning as the teams concentrating on longer runs.

Red Bull Racing's Mark Webber celebrated his new one-year contract extension with second place, half a second slower than the Finn, while Kovalainen's team-mate Lewis Hamilton popped up into third place with a late 1:20.543 effort.
